Four of our Year 5 students have played live in the semi-finals of the Junior Language Challenge 2013, in Loughborough this week. Students had learnt Spanish in the first round and then had to study Modern Greek for the semi-final. On the day, 30 children played each other against the clock and the top three at the end of the competition would be going to the ‘Grand Final’ in London. We didn’t quite make it through, but the girls did extremely well and achieved impressive scores. Well done to all of them!

As part of our WW2 topic the KS2 children enjoyed a VE Day celebration in school.

They took part in various activities e.g. making hats, icing biscuits and even dancing the Jitterbug!

The Foundation children have enjoyed making The Hungry Caterpillar out of plastic bottles and a princess from bottles and plastic bags. The fence has been made to look very colourful by weaving plastic bags.
